Why good solutions matter so much in online test series

Online test series are one of the best ways to prepare for competitive exams. But a mock test only tells a student which answers were wrong. They learn when they understand why.

That is why solutions, both written and video, matter so much on any serious test series or doubt-solving platform.

What students do after a test

After a mock test, motivated students go straight to the questions they got wrong. If the explanation is vague, skips steps or contains a mistake, they lose the chance to learn from it. They also start to trust the platform less.

A good solution does three things:

1. It shows every step. The method matters more than the final answer.
2. It names the concept. Students can then apply the idea to other questions.
3. It points out the likely mistake. The best solutions mention the trap the student probably fell into.

Text or video?

Both are useful.

Text solutions are quick to scan, easy to search and good for revising a method. They work well for most numerical and objective questions.

Video solutions add a teacher’s voice and reasoning. They help most with difficult problems, conceptual questions and students who learn by watching someone solve a problem. Common formats include pen-tab solving, digital panel teaching, green screen explainers and infographic videos.

Many platforms offer a text solution for every question and a video for the hardest ones, which balances coverage with depth.
